Auto emissions are the single biggest man-made contributor to global warming and are the single largest contributor of toxic emissions. When burning Ecalene™, vehicles can lower their emissions by approximately 85-90% when compared to unleaded gasoline. If all vehicles used Ecalene™ as their only fuel, it would be the equivalent of removing eight of ten vehicles from service and essentially eradicating the emissions contributions from the transportation sector.

A second major source of both man-made green house gases is the combustion of fossil fuels, particularly coal used in the generation of electricity. By extracting energy through gasification technology (see gasification below), emissions caused by combustion are significantly reduced. The Ecalene™ can then be used as a clean burning fuel for electrical plants or other non-transportation energy needs. All incineration of waste materials could be replaced by gasification technology eliminating this pollution source wherever it is practiced. The flaring of natural of natural gas is a major contributor to greenhouse gassing as well. Ecalene™ technology can also eliminate this practice even at the site of offshore wells.
